Job Description


The Waste Field Coordinators (WFCs) are responsible to implement an effective and efficient Waste Management Process for the Client. He will -

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Waste Management Process for the Client’s full compliance to the Environment Public Health (Toxic Industrial Waste) Regulations.
  • Support the development of site waste recycling programs with Waste Environment Engineer. 
  • Provide assurance inspections of waste storage locations for safety hazards, prepares reports, makes recommendations to correct safety hazards and monitors status of deficiencies noted for operational leadership. 
  • Provide support for the development and assurance checks of the Waste Management Plan.


· Liaise and coordinate with appointed licensed contractors to provide proper containment and waste collection/disposal services based on process operation requirements on behalf of Production Units (PUs).

· Provide assurance checks on waste handling and housekeeping by PUs in the respective temporary waste holding areas.

· Provide assurance checks on the control by PUs of all wastes collected at the temporary waste storage areas within each PU/area, including proper signage, inventory, segregation, proper containment etc.

· Proactively monitor all activities that would generate wastes within area of charge and ensure wastes are contained and disposed correctly, including assurance of Projects and Turnaround waste management plan.

· Assurance of proper waste characterization.

· Provide advice on the proper segregation and disposal methods for different waste streams.

· Record-keeper and documentation of the waste disposed, including preparation and submission of the consignment note required by National Environment Agency (NEA) for toxic industrial wastes.

· Monitor and drive standards of housekeeping related to waste on behalf of PU.

· Authorised Clearance Signatory (ACS) for vehicle entry into Process Areas/Oil Movement Areas/wharf for waste collection: proper documentation and accompany driver, if required.

Job Requirements
• Minimum 2 years of environmental related experiences.
• Diploma in an engineering or environmental science related field or WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (ACWSH) - WSH Coordinator qualification
• Relevant working experiences in a Toxic Waste Collector Industries will be an advantage.
• Working knowledge of the NEA Environment Public Health (Toxic Industrial Waste) Regulations and CP100 Code of Practice for Hazardous Waste Management.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Obtained minimum WSQ Certified Waste Management Crew qualification will be an advantage but not compulsory.
• Environmental Control Officer registered with NEA will be an advantage but not compulsory.
