Job Description
As part of Digital Learning Services team, you will be responsible for the design, and ensuring the usability of a whole-of-government digital learning ecosystem to deliver good experience to users, including public officers and agencies.
Job responsibilities:
• Plan and carry out qualitative and quantitative research, and synthesize research findings to develop design recommendations
• Facilitate workshops, conduct usability testing, user observations and interviews, etc. to uncover personas, users’ needs/ motivations/ behaviors and envision optimal user flows
• Create and rapidly iterate on ideas, develop and test them via storyboards, user flows, mock-ups/ prototypes/ wireframes, or other methods as needed using a user-centered design approach
• Use data to validate the product design continuously, especially as needs and expectations evolve, optimizing user experience
• Lead conversations with stakeholders to justify design decisions and trade-offs, and obtain buy-in on design initiatives
• Work closely with the Product team and technical teams to ensure that the product design timeline is aligned to the delivery milestones
• Communicate with the team constantly to ensure that the design is aligned to overall business requirements and objectives
• Research and stay on top of industry trends in experience design and share best practices
• Create a design-minded environment and build design capabilities amongst project team members
Job Requirements
Looking for like-minded individuals and a good team player who is passionate about digital learning solutions such as learning systems, workplace learning approaches and other forms of technology-enabled learning.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in related field, with hands-on experience in designing user flow, storyboarding, wireframes, prototyping and delivering high-fidelity mockups
• Deep understanding of design process to guide, plan and scope product work
• Strong UX, interaction and visual design skill
• Have shipped digital products and/or services that are in use today
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Good business acumen
• Analytical and data-driven
Good-to-have
• Experience working with a digital product/service organization, or learning organization is advantageous
• Experience working in an Agile development team is advantageous
